Match RECAP:  Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home
Another beautifully played game!! Once again, players stepped up their games and played tough. We started out playing 6 on 7, and were only down 2 to 1 at the half. Devanand had our goal in the second quarter by being in good position to take a pass and put it in the net (even after hurting his leg earlier in the quarter). Lucas had an even better game than yesterday, attacking well on defense and clearing the ball well. Gianna, entering  the game in the 3rd quarter, would not let a ball near her go unkicked(as well as another shot toward the goal), even after getting knocked down twice in a row. Domenic played goalie for the entire first half; played offense for the second half, getting his share of kicks and passes in. Elijah was huge today, playing a defensive Midfielder that the opponent could hardly get around. Francesco showed up with his "A" game today, showing marked improvement in his "go-to" defensive style, clearing the ball to the outside and helping his teammates on both edges. Andrew, playing his first game out of goal, was a great offensive push for the first half, taking the ball to the corner, then crossing it to center many times; he also solidified our defense in the second half tending goal. Brandon once again was all over the field( offense and defense) as a midfielder, dominating the center of the field, keeping the ball at the opponents end for the majority of the game, adding two goals and an assist to his record.
